SBCA To Demolish Illegal Constructions In Karachi

The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) is all set to demolish 336 illegal buildings across the city. The decision was made after commissioner Iftikhar Sohail directed SBCA to take action against illegal constructions in different areas of the city.

Recently, a high-level meeting took place in the city to review the progress on the orders of the Supreme Court. The instructions about demolishing illegal constructions were given by the commissioner in the presence of SBCA director general, deputy commissioners of South and East districts, and senior police officials.

The deputy commissioners will be monitoring and assisting demolition campaign of Sindh Building Control Authority SBCA, as instructed by Commissioner Shallwani.

During the meeting, the chief of SBCA told the participants that the task force was established in contrast to the Supreme Court’s order to supervise the demolition campaign in illegal constructions.

The chief informed participants that the SBCA officials had found 326 illegal constructions which will be demolished in during the drive.

  • North Nazimabad Town (6)
  • Gulshan Town-I (13)
  • Jamshed Town-I (four)
  • Jamshed Town-II (52)
  • Saddar Town-I (28)
  • Saddar Town-II (26)
  • Lyari Town (54)
  • Malir Town (16)
  • Korangi (4)
  • Landhi town (4)
