Sindh Govt To Take Action Against Developers of Illegal Housing Schemes

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Minister for Local Government of Sindh, has categorically announced that the Sindh govt is all set to take strict action against fraudulent developers that operate illegal and unauthorized private housing schemes across the province. According to media reports, this mafia has committed fraud worth millions of rupees against innocent people by trapping them on fraudulent property deals.

The announcement was made during the meeting of the Sehwan Development Authority (SDA) in Jamshoro. The meeting was chaired by the Minister LG Syed Nasir Hussain Shah. During the session, the minister also revealed that the SDA body will be constructing an international standard recreational park, ensure auctioning of plots fully on merit, and strive to eliminate encroachments as per the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The minister iterated his vision of taking firm and strict action against unauthorized private housing societies. Minister also revealed that govt is planning to launch a one-window operation very soon to ensure the transparent and rapid allotment of plots. Steps will be taken to revive SDA, and legal actions would be taken against businesses such as restaurants, petrol pumps, shopping malls, and others who are running business outlets without seeking SDA’s approval.
