DHA has made a major breakthrough allowing overseas Pakistanis to easily purchase properties in Pakistan.
According to the affidavit form issued by DHA, now overseas Pakistanis can purchase property worth over PKR 5 Million. Moreover, property gurus also expect that expats won’t have to pay advance tax or FBR tax while selling their property. This confusion will be resolved soon. The affidavit essentially defines that the person is paying taxes in the country of his/her residence, therefore any FBR taxes won’t be applicable to the buyer/seller. In reference to this, now overseas Pakistanis can buy properties without filing taxes in Pakistan.
